Living on the Gold Coast
Like many Gold Coasters, I first came here on holidays. Once I finished uni, I chose to build my life here in Biggera Waters. From a young age, I grew up around the family business, R.T.Edwards and Sons, where I saw first-hand the struggles of owning a business. It taught me that you have to work hard and be a team player. Those lessons have served me well.
An Active Community Member
I have always believed that it is important to give back to your community. I am an active member of Rotary and the Labrador Community Garden where I regularly help out at working bees and in fundraising. I volunteer with the Paradise Point Meals on Wheels serving elderly residents and at night, I work at the Labrador AFL Club in the bar and driving the courtesy bus.
Listening to Locals
It’s clear to me that the Palaszczuk Labor Government only pay lip service to the Gold Coast. Our police feel under-resourced and crime rates are rising; our roads are congested and small businesses are struggling. The Labor Government ignores us here and it’s not good enough. As your Liberal National Member for Bonney, I will make sure our voices are heard in Brisbane.
Team Work Delivers Results
I will work with all levels of government to get things done. We don’t need more ribbons cut on pretty projects or empty promises – people on the Gold Coast want to get home to their family safely and know that they’re safe on our streets. Small businesses want less interference and more encouragement.
