Local Families

Having worked, lived and raised our family locally since 1978, my wife Pauline and I have watched this region grow and develop. We understand the pressures on and needs of families in a modern world, we understand the cost of living issues facing residents of the northern Gold Coast.

Working for the Northern Gold Coast

I have proudly represented the people of the Coomera Electorate since 2009 and I strongly believe our region offers a great range of opportunities. As the fastest growing region in Queensland (perhaps even Australia), we have many challenges ahead of us. I look forward to working with the new areas in our electorate, to overcome these challenges and ensure delivery of the roads, bridges and social programs we need in this fast growing community.

Delivering Results

I’m proud to have delivered some great outcomes for the northern Gold Coast, including 93 new Gold Coast train services, with 35 of those in peak times. I fought for and secured funding for the Exit 54 duplication and upgrade resulting in the commencement of construction of the Coomera Town Centre. Stage one of which is scheduled for completion by Christmas 2018.

Working Together

Recent changes to Queensland’s state electorate boundaries are now complete and I would officially like to welcome you to the State Electorate of Coomera! The changes mean that Upper Coomera, all of Pimpama and Ormeau, together with the Yatala region now fall within the Coomera Electorate boundaries.

These are common sense changes, but in my opinion people don’t want to worry about lines on a map. Irrespective of boundaries, my role is to represent the needs of the whole northern Gold Coast community.
