Local Family

I’ve lived here on the Sunshine Coast for nearly a decade. My wife, Andrea and I have two little girls and we can’t think of a better place to raise them. Andrea is a school teacher and prior to being elected to Parliament I was a long-serving police detective.

We’ve worked hard to build a great life for our kids and understand why so many people want to live up here – the lifestyle is unbeatable. One of the reasons I stood for Parliament was to protect the way of life we have. We need to make sure we have the roads, rail and services our growing region needs to support local jobs and families.

An Active Community Member

I served in the Police for 25 years, most recently in the Child Protection and Homicide Units. As a detective, I’ve seen the best and worst of our community.

I try not to dwell on the downside of my job, but on how I have made a difference for people who have been a victim of crime and their families, and by protecting people from future criminal acts.

As a Sunshine Coast local, I spend a lot of time on the beach and I’ve loved serving our local Surf Life Saving Clubs since I was a kid.

Listening to Locals

The Labor Government ignores the Sunshine Coast. Our region is growing quickly and I want to make sure we’re listened to in Brisbane. Ninderry is a new seat in the Parliament and I will be a strong voice who will stand up for our area. I’ll always listen to the local perspective and make sure the issues which are important to our region are dealt with properly.

Team Work Delivers Results

As your Liberal National Party Member for Ninderry, I’m committed to fighting for our local area. I’ve worked in our community for many years and I understand what it needs. We need a government that will listen to local people, plan for the future and act on those plans.
