LNP Leader Deb Frecklington has urged the Palaszczuk Labor Government to take off the handbrake and introduce real-time fuel price monitoring as soon as possible.
Ms Frecklington announced the LNP’s support for real-time fuel price monitoring 183 days ago – but drivers are still waiting for price relief at the pump.
“Labor spent half the year saying no to real-time fuel price monitoring and is still dragging its feet on this policy,” Ms Frecklington said.
“Drivers are getting smashed by sky-high fuel prices every day and they’re getting no help from dithering Palaszczuk Government ministers.
“We know real-time fuel price monitoring works, but Labor has wasted six months on this issue because it’s too proud to adopt an LNP policy.
“Every six months of time-wasting by Labor costs the average driver $156.”
