As the term three school holidays come to an end today, LNP Leader Deb Frecklington has reiterated her job-creating infrastructure plan to bust congestion.
Ms Frecklington said today could be a frustrating time on the road for thousands of Queensland families who make their way home.
““I urge everyone to take care on the roads and drive responsibly today. Our major roads can resemble a car park on days like today,” Ms Frecklington said.
“It is why the LNP has outlined a plan to create major infrastructure projects to fix the transport nightmare after years of Labor neglect.
“I’m committed to building a second M1 which will get 60,000 vehicles off the current motorway, invest in the Bruce Highway and improve the countless bottlenecks.
“It is absolutely crucial to get these projects off the ground because commuters deserve to get home safer and sooner, no matter where they live.
“My plan to bust congestion, build key infrastructure and create jobs is about planning for the future not creating band-aid solutions.
“Queenslanders deserve a world class transport system but instead they’ve been slugged with outrageous rego hikes, skyrocketing petrol prices and long delays.”
