Under Labor Queensland now has the worst unemployment rate in Australia

LNP Deputy Leader and Shadow Treasurer Tim Mander said today’s jobs data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics has revealed the pain the Palaszczuk Labor Government has inflicted on Queenslanders looking for a job.

“Under lazy Labor, Queensland now has the highest unemployment rate in Australia,” Mr Mander said.

“It’s not good enough that our unemployment has risen yet again to 6.1 per cent.

“It’s not good enough that youth unemployment has jumped to 13.3 per cent.

“It’s not good enough that the number of underemployed Queenslanders has spiked by almost 30,000 in the last year.

“The gap between Queensland and the rest Australia continues to widen on lazy Labor’s watch.

“This is a direct result of Labor’s addiction to taxes, which is driving down business confidence and driving away business investment.”
