Local Family

I live with my wife and two sons in Taroom where our family runs our cattle property. As qualified boilermakers, my sons and I also work repairing farm and earth-moving machinery. My wife Terri is a Councillor with the Banana Shire and our daughter is an accountant with an international software firm. We’ve lived around the area for over 30 years and understand the challenges rural and regional communities face.

An Active Community Member

I have spent my life working with people to get results. As a Councillor with the Taroom Shire Council, I fought for the best interests of our community during the forced amalgamation of Banana and Taroom Shire Councils by the Beattie/Bligh Labor government.

Like many locals, being part of the community is very important to my family. I’ve been an active member of our local rural fire brigades for twenty years. Whether it’s floods, fires or drought – I’m always happy to help to get our community back on its feet.

Listening to Locals

Everywhere I go, people tell me they are sick of a Labor government that doesn’t listen, doesn’t consult and doesn’t make decisions in the best interest of our community. Whether it’s stopping farmers from clearing their land of pest flora or ignoring the poor state of our roads. I’ve seen first-hand the decisions government make and the effect it’s having on our area and I know we can do better. That’s why I’m committed to being part of a better government, that will deliver results - not excuses.

Team Work Delivers Results

I’ve built small businesses through hard work and strong relationships. I know what it takes to work with people and through my businesses and local council work, I’ve built a solid understanding of our local area. I won’t be Brisbane’s voice in Callide, I’ll be Callide’s voice in Brisbane and I will fight for your interests.
